Ethiopian Airlines, the fastest growing airline in Africa, is the flag carrier of Ethiopia. The airline plays an important role in the development of air travel in Africa. Ethiopian has the most extensive network in Africa and also serves destinations in North America, Europe, Asia and Middle East. The airline commands a lion’s share of the pan African network including daily and double daily east-west flights across the continent. It currently operates to 69 international and 17 domestic destinations with 47 modern aircraft, including five Boeing 777-200LR aircraft and three 737-800 Next Generation with Sky Interior.

Ethiopian is proud to be a Star Alliance Member, offering customers convenient worldwide reach, frequent flyer programs and a seamless travel experience. The Star Alliance network offers more than 21,555 daily flights to 1,356 airports in 193 countries.

Ethiopian is the first African carrier to take delivery of the game changing aircraft, 787 Dreamliner, in August 2012. By the end of this fiscal year, Ethiopian will add 14 new aircraft to its fleet, including 5 787 Dreamliners. By 2025, Ethiopian plans to become the leading aviation group in Africa with 112 aircraft covering 121 destinations.

Sixt - Partner of ShebaMiles

ShebaMiles is Ethiopian’s Frequent Flyer Program whereby members accumulate miles which will entitle them to ticket awards and many other privileges. The more miles the members fly the higher the benefits they get from Shebamiles. Membership to the program is open to everyone above the age of two years. In the current program structure, there are three tier levels, Blue, Silver and Gold. The number of Status Miles or sectors flown annually determines the membership level. ShebaMiles has teamed up with several airlines and non airline partners to create a world of choices for members to accumulate miles. Effective July 1, 2009, ShebaMiles members will get miles for their Rental at Sixt car as per the table below:

500 ShebaMiles* for every rental with Sixt rent a car
1.000 ShebaMiles* for every transfer with Sixt limousine service

* Certain rates are excluded from miles collection. Mileage reward promotions cannot be combined. Retroactive miles collection is only possible for the past 6 months.

Your contract for the booking of rental cars will be directly with Sixt and is separate from your purchase of a flight with Ethiopian Airlines.
